Ever since I was in Secondary Two, i've been participating in many different types of flag day. The experiences were really tiring, exhausting and full of rejecting from the people. To tell the truth, i'm quite sick of it. But today, i've never ever feel so good and enjoyable to do the St. John Ambulance Flag day, and of course that is not because of the organisation we're helping. I went to Outram MRT station with Fang Chun & Li Ling then Fang Chun's sister, Ling Ling, came as well and that is where we asked people for donation. It may seems normal but as we started to ask, that is where it was different from the other CIP that i've done. I always ask people for donation in English but Fang Chun actually asked in Chinese. Therefore, i started to use Chinese too. Although the people there is more of the elderly, but they are actually the ones who were more friendly. As people passed by, Fang Chun, Ling Ling and I kept saying, "请捐钱!谢谢你!" Although it sounds normal to everyone, but in that situation, it was truly fun! In the afternoon, more people were walking around, but not everyone is donating of course. Then came two men who set up their fruits business beside us and two other men who set up their businesses which sold old DVD and playing instrument respectively. The man played the old song which seems to go like this, "郎一个郎。。。" and i'm quite familiar with this old song. Our energy is deteriorating but i'm still quite energetic in asking for donation like, "Uncle, 请捐钱!" Sometimes i wonder if the men beside us felt sick to keep hearing the same sentence. However, one of the men smiled to us and offered us the GRAPES for free! He was really kind and in return we helped him to shout for business. As we asked for donation, many Uncles replied us like, "Uncle 没有钱啊!" and one of them actually taught us to say something like, "Uncle, Auntie 吃饱了没有?" and when they replied to us, we can say "请捐钱!" I tried this method, and it worked for 1 auntie. =)) Then minutes later when i saw him again, i tried that method and he put his thumb up and offered me the donation after he had donated! Another case is 1 auntie who said that she was a retired teacher, had given us some grapes to eat. I really love going to Chinatown and frankly speaking, i'm so daring today! I really enjoy myself today and i'll never forget in my whole lifetime.

xoxo.
